I have been studying film making in Melbourne at RMIT University. I recently graduated and went to India to work there. I started working at a production house called Rangrez Media.Being my first job in India, I was nervous at start. But then I started interacting with the people there and started socialising and soon I felt like I had been working there ever since.
After getting over the early nervousness, I was given my tasks to perform at the studio. We had receive
d an offer to make a commercial for Inox Cinemas’s Insignia Restaurant, whose menu was designed by the Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani.
The ad film was directed by Gaurav Mehra an excellent director, who happens to be a doctor as well who studied in Russia. Crazy stuff!! And I was his AD – Assistant director.

The script was formed, after many meetings with Vicky and the executives at Inox, location scouting and extra miscellaneous work, we finally arrived at the day of the shoot. The shoot was originally planned for 12 hours but went on for more than 24 hours and the entire crew was very helpful and willing and dedicated to work till the final product was shot as needed.
Being my first ever commercial experience, it was over whelming to know that for a small commercial of 45 seconds, the amount of work and man power that goes is insane.
So, here’s the final commercial that was edited and released recently. If you happen to be in India and go to any Inox Cinemas, you will catch this ad commercial before the movie starts.
